The European Health Policy Group (EHPG) and Columbia University are organising a workshop titled "Cross-National Evidence on the Role of the Private Sector in Healthcare: Profit, Policy, and Patient Welfare," taking place on May 8-9, 2025, in New York City.
This two-day event will delve into the critical and timely issue of private sector involvement in healthcare. With private, for-profit entities increasingly influencing national health systems, this workshop offers a platform to explore the implications for costs, quality, access, and equity.
We are calling on researchers from both sides of the Atlantic to contribute their insights and analysis. You can participate by:
1. Proposing a comparative paper topic in collaboration with a named colleague,
2. Suggesting a comparative topic and being paired with a collaborator, or
3. Submitting a single-country study.
