Winter Meeting 2021
Digital health care: challenges, opportunities and lessons learnt
HOSTED BY FACULTY OF ECONOMIC SCIENCES IN ASSOCIATION WITH DELab UW
Technological advances are inherent to the development of health care provision, its organization and quality. One dimension of these advances is digitalization in healthcare sectors, which is a subject of a growing body of literature. Digitalization of healthcare in Europe has been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling researchers to find new insight into the challenges and opportunities of digital health care. The upcoming meeting calls for research on topics related to European health care with a particular focus on digital health care (within or without the context of COVID-19). We encourage cross country analysis and welcome researchers from a variety of backgrounds, including but not limited to Economics, Health Services Research, Sociology, Political Sciences and Psychology. The European Health Policy Group is a multidisciplinary network that aims to stimulate international collaboration and learning through comparative analysis of changes to health care systems in Europe. The group meets twice a year to discuss research papers, which will be presented by a discussant followed by a group discussion and closed with a virtual reality social event.
